Accolades

"We have been really impressed with Ms. Ocèan, not only in her ability to communicate her lessons in a gentle and patient manner, but with her ability to provide insightful information/anecdotes that makes the lessons fun and interesting. We strongly support her approach in developing a strong music foundation through fundamentals of music composition, ... instead of just teaching memorization of notes and keys."
G.T. and K.G., San Francisco

"After discovering that Ocèan teaches piano lessons, I enrolled my 5 year. Miss Ocèan is not only teaching my kid piano, but she is also enriching her knowledge of classical music. Words like Bach and Beethoven are coming out of my child's mouth! Miss Ocèan is extremely patient and gentle with my child. My kid absolutely adores her. As each child's behavior is different, Ocèan uses different techniques to guide each child. Ocèan's ability to adapt to each child shows her patience and caring nature. I am happy that Ocèan can broaden my child's horizons."

My Approach to Music Training

Ocean La Luce D' Luna

"As an educator, it is my responsibility to guide, teach, mentor, and share. I provide a supportive environment for individuals willing to learn, which creates the foundation for musical understanding, and allows students to blossom into their own expression.

Musical expression is part of human lineage. Through my musical practice, I continue the sharing of this cultural history that is beautiful, enriching, and fundamental to human expression.

I use a person's natural curiosity and desire to discover as a motivational guide through their musical training. I encourage this passion for learning and reaching a personal understanding of music."

A message to parents of younger students:
In this day and age of instant gratification, it is becoming increasingly difficult to capture and maintain long attention spans. My methods of teaching keep students engaged at all times, while constantly monitoring their interest levels. When I find the attention of younger minds drift, I readily adapt the lesson in order to re-capture and engage them, maintaining a focused and streamlined lesson.

My approach is efficient, providing tangible daily goals tailored to the student's pace.
